Keep your camera ready as you view the 60 foot white limestone cliffs of Plaza Blanca. You might recognize these formations as the subjects of Georgia O'Keefe's 1940 painting "The White Place". Traveling through Northern New Mexico you are not only surrounded by natural beauty, but you will have the opportunity to explore the history of this incredible area. Visit some of the oldest communities in North America, founded by Spanish colonists in the 17th century. Next, wander through the streets of the almost abandoned mining town where mica mining and logging were once important industries. Finally your guide will take you to Ojo Caliente where you can have a relaxing soak in the famed hot springs** and reflect on your Southwest Odyssey Tours adventure before heading back to beautiful Santa Fe.
